Foster Lancaster (FAWS-ter LAN-kas-ter) is an American pop singer and producer that rose to prominence from original music and word-of-mouth attention. Although he is deeply embraced by the hip hop community, his pop music is light-hearted and sophisticated. Foster is often envied for his talent, but he built his brand tremendously independently.

Career

Foster’s DIY maximalism fools some people into thinking he may have been manufactured by the music industry, but the song-writing, directing, producing, designing, and promotion were from his independent label, Next Big Thing Records. His “overall” empowering anthems, and uniquely inviting presentation appeals to audiences that selectively venture from their cultural comfort zone. He was first discovered on the indie hip hop blog website, RapIndie.com and has since become a beloved creative powerhouse from his music and branding.

Foster Lancaster makes many types of songs that cover a wide range of emotions with equal sincerity. His songs are memorable and universally well-received. Although his songs assimilate well with pop, they are a little more mature and well-written.
